The NLPNP is Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Nominee Program
Through this program, potential immigrants with skills and experience targeted by the province may receive the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nomination Certificate, which will allow foreign nationals to apply for permanent residency of Canada. Applicants must meet certain criteria such as having a job or job offer, the ability to economically establish and the intent to reside in the province, in order to be nominated for permanent residency.

1. Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker requirements:
The NL Express Entry Skilled Worker category enables the NLPNP to nominate skilled candidates with job offers through the federal Express Entry immigration selection system. Individuals nominated by the NLPNP will receive additional points under the Comprehensive Ranking System, resulting in an Invitation to Apply for Canadian permanent residence.
2. Skilled Worker Category
The NLPNP accepts applications under this category from individuals who have received a guaranteed job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer. Individuals who are currently working in the province on a valid work permit may also be eligible. To be eligible to submit an application under this program, you must:
3. International Graduate Category
The province accepts applications under this category from recent graduates of an eligible Canadian post-secondary institution who remain in Canada on a Post-Graduate Work Permit. Applicants must also have either a current job or a job offer from a Newfoundland or a Labrador employer and must be working in their field of study at the time of application.
4. International Entrepreneur Category
The International Entrepreneur category is intended for experienced business owners or senior business managers who wish to permanently reside in Newfoundland and Labrador. They must start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business in the province. Candidates must have at least one year experience in the Newfoundland and Labrador International Entrepreneur category and must operate their business actively in Newfoundland and Labrador before the provincial enrollment.
5. International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
Newfoundland and Labrador's International Graduate Entrepreneur Category aims to retain international graduates who have attended Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic and who wish to create, co-own or manage a business in the province for at least one continuous year.
6. Atlantic Immigration Pilot
Newfoundland and Labrador is one of four Atlantic provinces working in partnership with the Canadian government to hire foreign workers to fill jobs in Atlantic Canada that have not been filled locally. Foreign nationals interested in participating in the Atlantic Immigration Pilot may be residing abroad or on temporary status in Canada at the time of applying.
