The New Brunswick PNP is designed to provide expedited entry to Canada to people who have valuable skills or resources that are in demand in the local provincial economy and can meet specific economic and labor market needs in the province.

People can qualify for the NBPNP under following categories-: The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program targets qualified candidates Under the NBPNP, candidates can qualify through one of four categories:

  • Skilled Workers Express Entry: Labor Market
  • Skilled Workers with Employer Support
  • Entrepreneurial stream
  • Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial
  • Candidates can also qualify for New Brunswick immigration via the Atlantic Immigration Pilot.

1. Skilled Workers Express Entry: Labour Market

This stream allows the NBPNP to use the federal Express Entry immigration selection system to meet New Brunswick’s specific labour market and demographic needs. This stream operates under an 'Expression of Interest' model. In order to be eligible, individuals must obtain minimum of 67 marks out of 100 in the selection factors for the Federal Skilled Worker Class and meet other criteria specified by the NBPNP.

2. Skilled Workers with Employer Support-:

This category facilitates immigration for workers who have received a full-time, permanent job offer from a New Brunswick employer.

3. Entrepreneurial stream

The New Brunswick’s Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP)stream is aimed at professionals ready to invest in a business in the province and move there with their families. This stream functions as an Expression of Interest (EOI) system. The first step in this process is the submission of an EOI to the New Brunswick Department of Post Secondary Education, Training and Labor.

4. Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial

The Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream (PGES) is an economic immigration option under the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP). It is open to individuals who have graduated from a recognized university or the New Brunswick Community College. This stream offers a pathway to reside in New Brunswick permanently for individuals who have graduated from a recognized academic institution in New Brunswick, and have started or acquired a business in the province.

5. Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program

New Brunswick is one of the four participating Atlantic provinces working with the Government of Canada to recruit foreign workers to meet labor market shortages in Atlantic Canada. Foreign nationals interested in participating in the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program may be residing abroad or on temporary status in Canada at the time of applying.
